Egypt contains many royal palaces built by the sons of Mohammed Ali Pasha in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Abdeen Palace is one of the most important of these deficiencies, it has been the headquarters of the ruling the country in the period from 1872 until the establishment of the Egyptian revolution on July 23, 1952, which later became one of the presidential palaces, by the decision of the Revolutionary Command Council.
The palace consists of almost 500 rooms, the walls were covered with marble, the most famous artists and painters in the world came to draw the inscriptions on the bishop, which dominated by a combination of the Islamic character and the Italian art, which was the most famous at the time.


Wing Belgian is one of the distinctive places in the palace, because of the way of the architectural and decorative, which was built out, This wing was named "The Belgian Wing", because the king of Belgium was the first to enter to it .. but overall The Belgian wing at this time was allocated for the establishment of the important  guests for Egypt .. as well as there "Suez Canal" salon, which was established to be a celebration of the inauguration of the Suez Canal, But there was no celebration in this salon at the behest of the Empress Ougeny.


Abdeen Palace has several halls, there is a Red saloon and the White saloon , the two are reserved for receiving official delegations .. There is also a library of the palace containing many rare books and manuscripts, as well as the Golden Hall, which was built to look as if they were as a theatre, Because Khedive Ismail was famous for his love of art and theater, especially opera.


Muhammad Ali Hall is the largest and most famous halls of the palace at all, which is a spacious hall, was built on Arab-Islamic style, it characterized by the accurately of the carvings that inlaid with marble, granite.


Until now, Abdeen Palace still as a witness to important historical era in modern Egyptian history.
